A February Wedding Part II

1.

This is a continuation of this post. On to the table cloths. I think the table cloths can simply make the room.
2.Forget the typical solid color and use a fabulous pattern. Not just a square on top of the table- the entire table cloth.
3. What better way to bring your color pallet together.
4.

All of these fabrics are under $10/yard. (some as low as $4.25) They are from "The Fat Quarter Shop" "Be Sew Happy Quilt Shop", "Big Horn Fabric Shop," and "Carousel Fabrics."
5.

Imagine the room with one of these on the tables- it would be fabulous.

A February Wedding Part I

Add Image I am helping a friend with a wedding- and thought I'd start by showing her a few ideas- and show them to all of you at the same time. I love the lantern look. It is not expensive, and really brings down a high ceiling to a more intimate level. I found large 30 inch lanterns for only $6.40 each.

What a sweet favor box. (Martha Stewart)

These could make a great background to a photo area. They are made with crayons- couldn't be less expensive. Idea from Martha Stewart.

Dress up simple white chairs with just the right ribbon.

Save money over using typical flowers by flooding the tables with pink baby's breath. Just the baby's breath. The effect would be beautiful and sophisticated. Check out this post on baby's breath.

Jen's Wedding

This is my sweet friend Jen. I was her neighbor (before she moved)- her YW leader (before she grew up)- but still her friend. Now she is getting married! Congratulations!!! Let's plan her decorations for her yellow backyard reception :)

What are brothers and brother-in laws for- if not to figure out how to have a fabulous paper lantern over each table in your backyard reception? At only $3.50 each- this is some cool "lighting". Forget those Christmas lights :) From Lunabazaar.

Can you see this fabric for the table cloths? I can. - From Hartsfabric.com.- only $10/ yard :)

We would, of course, need lots of yellow flowers. I may know of a wild source for these that wouldn't cost a thing-- but I am not sure when they bloom :)

This is an 8 x 10 print- from Etsy seller: LuckyBluebirdArt. Perhaps we can use this in your sign-in book...? ($14)

I found these on Etsy from seller: niklindesigns1225. They are just cardstock butterflies. I think we could get a TON of them- and string them in your backyard... Another source might be: PaperCreations123- also on Etsy. I picture a sky of yellow butterflies :)

OK- has anyone been to a beautiful backyard reception? Any cool ideas for Jen?

The Beauty of Baby's Breath

My good friend's son is getting married in a couple of weeks and I am doing the flowers. I have been considering going a little overboard on the baby's breath.. :) What do you think?
Baby's breath is extremely affordable- It is white- a perfect wedding color- and the unexpected element is using it in such large quantities. I would throw in some pink- (the bride's color)- but bulk up on the baby's breath... I think I will do a practice one for her- to make sure she likes it :)

But - if I were getting married- I would go with the butterflies.. Aren't they cool?
