Angela's Closet Wall

Today's post is a continuation of Angela's Bedroom- which started here. And then continued here.

Hi Angela,

I am still plucking away at your room. Let's address this little wall. We have a little problem with scale. The piece of art that you have hung on the wall fits, but that doesn't mean that it "fits". It is too large for the space. I would use this area to put some pictures of my kids. One vertical row, starting just above the light switch. The one below is from Roma Moulding, and is available in different sizes. I just checked your blog and saw that you have four kids (*hey- me too- two girls, two boys :)). So- you should get the frames in a small size. I would have them printed in sepia tones. This combined with the fact that your walls will be wallpapered- (have I talked you into that yet ?:) and this area will look fabulous! Another way to treat this area? A sconce. Back to that whole romance thing :)- Sconces with dimmers are perfect in bedrooms- ambiance is important. (the sconce below is Uttermost- the wallpaper above is Ronald Redding)

There you go- Two great options. I find that so many clients don't want to add sconces. There is something about bringing in an electrician that scares them. Just do it- it would add so much! If they mess up your wall by putting the hole in the wrong spot- don't worry, you are going to wallpaper! I looked a little at your blog- and was wondering if my kids could join your home school? It sounds like fun!
Thanks,
Christine
