Kelli's Bedroom

Christine,

Thanks so much for the great ideas! (see her post here.) Do you have a specific kind of replacement hardware in mind?

Hi Kelli,

I pictured something with a distressed pewter feel- White wash by nature is made to look more distressed. Stay away from pristine shiny hardware- go for the more beat up look. When replacing hardware- or selecting it for the first time with kitchen cabinets- have your hardware style consistent with your wood. I.e.- don't use distressed hardware with nice smooth cherry cabinets- or smooth shiny hardware with cabinets that have a washed or distressed finish. It just doesn't "go"- and I think- looks rather ridiculous. You will be limited to those that fit your "wholes" in your furniture. The piece above came from Restoration Hardware. Keep posted- I am working on your living room :)
