Love the Lighting

I am in Seattle for the Rock-n-Roll half marathon this weekend. I know you are not supposed to tell mass amounts of people that you are out of town- because there could be readers who know where I live- and then come to rob me. Don't bother robbers. First of all- my grandpa and husband are still at home- secondly- the only things I have of any value are huge- and would be very hard to steal. We have no good jewelry- no drugs- no Playstation. Plus I have a ferocious dog. So there- I am out of town- staying at my friend Marika's house- I wanted to show you some cool things she has done with her place. I really liked this console table. The art work is all original- Marika did it herself. We are friends from design school at BYU- she is a graphic designer and photographer- but also a great painter. I really liked the use of the faux candles. Too often people only have accent lighting at Christmas time- I believe in accent lighting every day. I think she also did a great job on her decorating of the table in general. The books, trunks, wheat, frame, the bird- all of it- very well done. She has variety in objects, balance in mass, gradation in height.
